Moncton Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 4-1
|
The Moncton Bucks have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Saint John Sasquatches, winning 3-2 at Resurgo Stadium today. Bucks left fielder Wop Ouwens was named player of the game after he was 3 for 4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 times. The win cuts the deficit facing the Bucks to 4-1 in the best-of-7 ACB Championship.
Jason Henry, who is a four-time All-Star, aided the Moncton cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-4 with a double.
"I like our mindset right now," said Moncton manager Joel Odenbach.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow in Moncton. The scheduled starters for the game are Habimana Zuri for Saint John and Gordon Branham for Moncton.
