Grays Slip Past Philadelphia, 4-3
|
Washington Grays starter Gabresilassie Hodari was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Philadelphia Haymakers, 4-3. The Grays sport a record of 11-18.
Washington used the timely hitting of Geoff Polk to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Grays on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
When asked about his performance, Polk said, "It probably won't silence the critics."
