Almost There: Philadelphia On Cusp of DF Triumph After 10-5 Win
The Philadelphia Haymakers moved to within one game of the ACB Championship today, downing the visiting Newark Gunners at Robert Boyd Memorial Stadium by a score of 10-5. Haymakers center fielder Mauro Cardona was named player of the game after he went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. The win gives the Haymakers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Division Finals.

Philadelphia first baseman Mark Dailey delivered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. Overall, he went 3 for 4, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.

"I like our moxie," said Haymakers manager Jon Lyons.

Game 5 is set to be played tomorrow at Robert Boyd Memorial Stadium in Philadelphia. Slated to start are Joe Todd for Newark and Damon Boggs for Philadelphia.
