Hickling, Sasquatches Wallop Bucks in Game 6 of DF
|
The Saint John Sasquatches and the Moncton Bucks will take the Division Finals to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Sasquatches beat the Bucks 6-2 at Saint John Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Saint John shortstop Carlos Hickling was named player of the game in the win after he went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
The tide might have turned with one out in the top of the fourth, had not Taweel bin Qaraja made a big pitch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Bucks trailing 5-2, he retired Bailey Gomme, who flied out.
Game 7 is set to be played tomorrow at Saint John Stadium. Slated to start are Arabello Pagkalinawan for Moncton and Bobby McLean for Saint John.
