Vargas Blasts Sasquatches, Haymakers Take Game 6, 9-8
The Philadelphia Haymakers and the Saint John Sasquatches will take the ACB Championship to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Haymakers beat the Sasquatches 9-8 at Robert Boyd Memorial Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Philadelphia third baseman Francisco Vargas was named player of the game in the win after he was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

César García had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Haymakers. Coming up with the bases loaded and Philadelphia trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Vargas said after the game.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Robert Boyd Memorial Stadium. The scheduled starters for the game are Tara Ringrose for the Saint John Sasquatches and Gabriel Serrano for the the Philadelphia Haymakers.
