C Picot, Superbas Destroy Firebirds 16-3 to Force Game
The Rockville Superbas moved to within one game of the Round 3 today, downing the Phoenix Firebirds on the road at Firebirds Ballpark by a score of 16-3. Superbas catcher Jeff Picot was named player of the game after he was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 4. The win gives the Superbas a - advantage in the best-of- ACB Championship.

The Superbas used some clutch hitting to beat the Firebirds, a good example being the at-bat of Charlie Butler in the top of the third. With two down, Butler gave his team the lead, 3-0, when he hit a 3-run home run.

"We did a lot of things right," said Picot.

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow. Slated to start are Bruce Brown for Rockville and Mario García for Phoenix.
