Almost There: Bangor On Cusp of ACBC Triumph After 5-4 Win
A strong performance from pitcher Lorne Burton was not enough for the Rockville Superbas, who were stopped by the visiting Bangor Lumberjacks in a 5-4 loss in Game of the ACB Championship today. The Lumberjacks never truly figured out the right-handed Burton, who threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball to earn player of the game honors. Still, the Lumberjacks now hold a - in the best-of- series.

With no one out in the bottom of the fourth, Vallon Moulin barreled up a changeup from Lorne Burton. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Lumberjacks in front, 3-2.

"We're not going to sweep 'em," Moulin said in response to a question after the game. "Rockville is too good not to take a game somewhere."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lumberjacks Ballpark in Bangor. The scheduled starters for the game are Bruce Brown for Rockville and Alexander Bikham for Bangor.
