Isomäki, Cardiff Open TBLC Strong with 7-5 Win
The Cardiff Alliance started the TBL Classic in style today, downing the visiting Halifax Golden Giants at Bute Park Cardiff City Stadium by a score of 7-5 to stake an early - lead in the best-of- series. Alliance right fielder Soini Isomäki was named player of the game after he was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times.

Demessie Nabih aided the Cardiff cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"I like our moxie," said Alliance manager Fedele Sapia.

The next game is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th, 1987 at Golden Giants Stadium in Halifax. Slated to start are Qaraja Badr al Din for the Cardiff Alliance and Rob Dempsey for the the Halifax Golden Giants.
