Despite a great performance by Manchester City right fielder Tolek Budrewicz, the Moncton Bucks defeated the Baseball Stars by the score of 9-6 at Hyde Road today. Budrewicz went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Bucks from moving one game closer to the Round 3. Moncton now leads the ACB Championship - .

Moncton used the timely hitting of Eric Combs to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Bucks ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"We came out aggressive," said Bucks manager Joel Odenbach. "We came out swinging the bats."

Game 5 is set to be played Saturday, October 10th, 1987 at Resurgo Stadium. Slated to start are Francisco Sánchez for Manchester City and Gordon Branham for Moncton.
