Almost There: Cardiff On Cusp of TBLC Triumph After 6-5 Win
The Cardiff Alliance are one game away from a sweep after taking a 6-5, walk-off win over the visiting Rockville Superbas at Bute Park Cardiff City Stadium today. Alliance right-hander Slobodan Zoric was named player of the game for a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Cardiff now holds a - advantage in the best-of- TBL Classic.

Héctor Ortíz was the walk-off hero for Cardiff. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Alliance third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Cardiff manager Fedele Sapia.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow in Cardiff. The scheduled starters for the game are Kevin Holmes for Rockville and Suhayb bin Mahmoud for Cardiff.
