Rivera, Washington Start ACB Championship Strong with Home Win
The Washington Grays moved to within one game of the Round 3 today, downing the Providence Steamrollers 3-2 in a low-scoring affair at Grays Ballpark. Leading the way for the Grays was hurler Salvador Rivera, who was named player of the game after he threw 6 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Grays a - advantage in the best-of- ACB Championship.

In the bottom of the second, Washington third baseman Eddie Ocasio had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Ocasio stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-0, Washington. For the game, he was 2 for 3 with 2 singles.

"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Rivera. "Successful pitchers do it."

Game 5 is set to be played Friday at Steamrollers Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Steve Ferguson for Washington and Roberto Quintana for Providence.
