Almost There: Edinburgh On Cusp of TBLC Triumph After 12-5 Win
The Edinburgh Scots moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Moncton Bucks on the road at Resurgo Stadium by a score of 12-5. Scots second baseman Bo Buchanan was named player of the game after he went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The win gives the Scots a - advantage in the best-of- TBL Classic.

Edinburgh relied on the bat of Kalema Rifaa to get the win. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Scots ahead, 4-0. For the game, Rifaa had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"It's on me," said Bucks manager Joel Odenbach. "The guys I sent out there today were the wrong ones for the situation. I'll be sure to send the right ones out next time."

The next game is set to be played Saturday, October 4th, 1986. Slated to start are Gordon Branham for the Moncton Bucks and Alfonso Gómez for the the Edinburgh Scots.
