Pivotal Game Goes to Host Superbas, 6-0
|
The importance of Game was not lost on Dale Mooney.
In leading Rockville to a crucial 6-0 victory over the Cardiff Alliance at Rock Creek Sports Complex today, the Superbas first baseman rose to the occasion. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI to player of the game honors as Rockville defended their home field and seized a - lead in the best-of- ACB Championship.
The Superbas picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"Huge," Mooney said. "Game 5 is huge."
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Rock Creek Sports Complex. The scheduled starters for the game are Suhayb bin Mahmoud for Cardiff and Bruce Brown for Rockville.
