Pivotal Game Goes to Host Sasquatches, 6-5
|
Saint John Sasquatches designated hitter Cahern Walcker was the difference-maker at Saint John Stadium today, winning player of the game honors as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game of the ACB Championship. The Sasquatches took the 6-5 win over the Kingston upon Hull Beach Bums to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
In the bottom of the third, Saint John center fielder Chad Ramírez had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Ramírez stroked a run-scoring double to left. It made the score 3-2, Saint John. For the game, he went 1-4 with a double.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Walcker told the Saint John Chronicle.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow in Saint John. Slated to start are Keith Martin for the Kingston upon Hull Beach Bums and Bobby McLean for the the Saint John Sasquatches.
