Almost There: Rockville On Cusp of ACBC Triumph After 8-5 Win
An all-important Game of the ACB Championship went into extra innings at Saint John Stadium, with the Rockville Superbas eventually emerging on top. Rockville has Carl Höhne to thank, after the first baseman went 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the 8-5 victory. The Superbas are now one game away from the Round 3, holding a - lead in the best-of- series.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Darren Morgenstern came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Saint John pitcher Ewan Handford, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring triple. It was a game-changer, putting Rockville on top, 6-5.

"Things aren't going great right now," Saint John manager Jason Russell said. "But you don't need me to tell you that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Saint John Stadium in Saint John. Slated to start are Kevin Holmes for Rockville and Taweel bin Qaraja for Saint John.
