The Liverpool AC moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Rockville Superbas on the road at Rock Creek Sports Complex by a score of 9-4. AC right-hander Sebastian Sewell was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings allowing 4 runs. The win gives the AC a - advantage in the best-of- TBL Classic.
With one out in the top of the first, Tabat Komen had a game-changing hit. The AC third baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Lorne Burton, making the score 3-0, Liverpool.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Sewell.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Rock Creek Sports Complex in Rockville. The scheduled starters for the game are Maolruanaí McWade for the Liverpool AC and Lee Anderson for the the Rockville Superbas.
