Almost There: Halifax On Cusp of DF Triumph After 6-5 Win
|
The Halifax Golden Giants moved to within one game of the ACB Championship today, downing the visiting Saint John Sasquatches at Golden Giants Stadium by a score of 6-5. Golden Giants catcher Hadad Bahir did some major damage. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win gives the Golden Giants a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Division Finals.
Bahir had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the sixth for the Golden Giants. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Halifax trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run home run.
"We found a way to get it done," Bahir said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Golden Giants Stadium in Halifax. The scheduled starters for the game are Kieran Mortlock for the Saint John Sasquatches and Will Duke for the the Halifax Golden Giants.
