Sheriffs Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0
With starter Barry Richard leading the charge, the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs defeated the Moncton Bucks, 5-3, in Game 2 of the ACB Championship today. The right-hander threw 8 innings of 2-hit ball at Resurgo Stadium to help Poughkeepsie take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Richard allowed 3 runs over 8 innings. He also racked up 7 strikeouts.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Richard said.

The next game is scheduled for Sunday at Sheriffs Ballpark in Poughkeepsie. The scheduled starters for the game are Sebastian Sewell for Moncton and Charlie Follows for Poughkeepsie.
