TBL Classic Game 1 Victory for Badr al Din and Cardiff
The Cardiff Alliance moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Providence Steamrollers at Bute Park Cardiff City Stadium by a score of 3-2. Alliance right-hander Qaraja Badr al Din was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Alliance a - advantage in the best-of- TBL Classic.

Demessie Nabih aided the Cardiff cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the catcher went 1-2 with a walk.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Cardiff manager Fedele Sapia said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

Game 2 is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Joshua Farquharson for Providence and Hizkaias Tulun for Cardiff.
