Still Kicking: Halifax Cut Poughkeepsie Series Lead to 3-1 With Late Win
Already down in the ACB Championship, the Halifax Golden Giants put on their best show, beating the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs by a final score of 10-9 today. Nyles Lago was special. He went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. Halifax now trails Poughkeepsie 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Halifax won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Carl Hotham on the mound for Poughkeepsie, catcher Hadad Bahir hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Golden Giants fans to their feet.

"Exciting game to play in," said Bahir. "Getting the win makes it even better."

Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Davis Short for Poughkeepsie and Will Duke for Halifax.
