Almost There: Poughkeepsie On Cusp of ACBC Triumph After 7-2 Win
Game was big. So was Tyler Frisby.

The Poughkeepsie starter rose to the occasion at Resurgo Stadium today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Sheriffs to a crucial 7-2 victory over the Moncton Bucks. Frisby threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball as the Sheriffs won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- ACB Championship.

It could have been a different outcome for Poughkeepsie, had it not been for Johannis Chimanga, the two-time All-Star . Chimanga contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Poughkeepsie up, 4-2.

"We're happy," Chimanga told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Davis Short for the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs and Luis Padilla for the the Moncton Bucks.
