Castro, Moncton Start ACB Championship Strong with Home Win
In a pivotal Game , the Moncton Bucks were hoping for a big game from starter António Castro. They got one.

The left-hander shut out the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 1-0 victory. The Bucks took the 1-0 win over the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

Castro gave Moncton a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.1 innings.

"We don't have much margin for error now," Sheriffs manager Kyle Barnhart said. "We need to figure out the problem and fix it, immediately."

Game 6 is set to be played Wednesday, November 1st, 1989 at Sheriffs Ballpark. The scheduled starters for the game are Luis Padilla for the Moncton Bucks and Davis Short for the the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs.
