Game was big. So was Sebastian Sewell.

The Moncton starter rose to the occasion at Sheriffs Ballpark today, earning player of the game honors after leading the Bucks to a crucial 4-1 victory over the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs. Sewell threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball as the Bucks won on the road to seize a - lead in the best-of- ACB Championship.

The Sheriffs had little chance against Sewell, who overpowered Poughkeepsie hitters and struck out 10.

"I got in a good groove," said Sewell. "I was getting some swings and misses."
