Rehab Setback For Roberto Salazar
Wednesday, July 17th, 1991
Rockville Superbas starting pitcher Roberto Salazar got another setback today. His doctors informed him that his injury was not responding to treatment as well as they hoped and that he would need more time to rehabilitate. If all goes well, they expect Salazar to be ready to go within 5 days. He told BNN, "I didn't expect a dead arm to take this long to heal."
This season Salazar has a 4-2 mark in 12 starts with a 2.40 ERA. He has given up 41 hits in 63.2 innings, struck out 24 and issued 17 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .184 batting average against him.
