Hot Bat Cooled, Agatyev Hitless Against Steamboats Sunday, June 23rd, 1991 Kostenka Agatyev's 23-game hitting streak was snapped today at Steamboats Ballpark. The 29-year-old Sudbury Air Aces first baseman failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats in the game against the Falconbridge Steamboats, but Sudbury came out the winner, 3-2. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Kostenka," Air Aces manager Luke Todd said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." |
