Un-four-gettable: Sandoval Hits for Cycle Saturday, March 30th, 1991 Some days, a great game just isn't enough. Luis Sandoval of the The Bullis School Bulldogs found that out the hard way today. Sandoval had a great day at the plate, pounding out 4 hits in 4 at-bats and hitting for the cycle, but watched the Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas take a 9-8 victory. "It is a frustrating feeling to know you did so much and still lost," the 17-year-old second baseman said later. "But it is a feeling you have to get used to if you want to play baseball for very long. It just happens." Sandoval had 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run, as well as 3 RBI and 3 runs scored in the contest. Luis Sandoval walked in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Dennis Walker in the 6th and tripled in the 8th. For the season Sandoval is batting .302 with 35 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 16 times and batted in 19. |
