Season Ends for Ty Gregory of Memorial University Thursday, March 21st, 1991 The doctors have spoken and Ty Gregory of the Memorial University Seahawks didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Gregory sustained his season-ending injury during the University of New Brunswick Seawolves game yesterday at Ballpark of University of New Brunswick. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Memorial University medical staff reported Gregory had ulnar nerve entrapment and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. This year Gregory has compiled a 3-1 mark with a 1.80 ERA in 7 starts. |
