Rosas Raps 3 Homers Against Jaguars
Sunday, April 14th, 1991
In a powerful performance that left the fans at Ballpark of Miami HS buzzing, Poolesville HS Falcons right fielder José Rosas blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 9-4 win over the Falls Church HS Jaguars.
"Everything was clicking," Rosas told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Rosas shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Falcons manager Stan Sexton said. "José played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
José Rosas struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Marcos García in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Marcos García in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Steve Doss in the 8th.
During the current season Rosas is batting at a .219 clip with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 27 times.
