Anacostia HS Takes Quarter Finals

Millard Cotton put the Anacostia HS Indians on his shoulders as they downed the McLean HS Highlanders in the Quarter Finals.

Anacostia HS won the deciding game by a 2-1 count at Ballpark of Jersey City HS and wrapped up the series 4-2.

Cotton played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .360 batting average with a .429 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 4 RBI and 4 runs scored.

"I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said.

The Anacostia HS Indians will play against the Walker HS Sluggers in the next round. Walker HS won their series against the Poolesville HS Falcons 4 games to 0. The Semi Finals schedule will be announced after the Quarter Finals finishes.
