Navarro on Fire, Strikes out 15 Warriors Tuesday, March 12th, 1991 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Javier Navarro, the Col Magruder HS Colonels topped the Sherwood HS Warriors today by a score of 6-2 at Chesapeake HS Grounds. The 17-year-old Navarro brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 6 hits and giving up 2 walks. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Warriors manager Billy Schroeder said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." |
