Fox Belts 3 HR for Rockets
Sunday, March 31st, 1991
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Miguel Fox discovered that today at Muskies Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 11-9 Richard Montgomery HS Rockets win over the Calvin Coolidge HS Colts.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Richard Montgomery HS left fielder said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Fox finished the day with 3 hits in 3 at-bats and 7 RBIs.
Miguel Fox walked in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Micheal Richmond in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jason Whitfield in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Steve Rich in the 9th.
Looking at his stats this year, Fox has compiled a .242 batting average, while hitting 10 home runs and driving in 29 runs. He has played in 32 games and scored 19 runs.
