Alfredo Cortéz did a number on the Rabbits in the Scranton 20-8 victory today, and the number was 6. The Quakers shortstop banged out 6 hits in 7 at-bats at Rabbits Ballpark to lead his club past the Reading Rabbits.

"I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."

Alfredo Cortéz singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Denny Ferguson in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

So far this season, Cortéz has recorded a .305 batting average with 126 hits, 12 home runs, 71 RBIs, 90 runs scored and a .365 OBP.
