Hit Parade: Flores Pops 5 Hits
|
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Harrisburg's 44-1 win over East Norriton today, center fielder José Flores was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Riptide Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Flores said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
José Flores grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
This season Flores is batting .433 with no home runs. His totals include 4 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
