Glas, Bucks Sink Scots Again in Game
|
Moncton center fielder Magnus Glas was the key at Phoenix Ballpark today, being named player of the game as he powered the Bucks to victory in a critical Game of the ACB Championship. The Bucks took the 12-9 win over the Edinburgh Scots to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Moncton used the timely hitting of Jason Henry to capture the win. The pinch hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bucks ahead, 11-9. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"It's hard to overstate how much this mattered to us, especially in a short series," Moncton manager Joel Odenbach said.
Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th, 1986 at Resurgo Stadium. Slated to start are Zai-shuo Wang for the Edinburgh Scots and Luis Padilla for the the Moncton Bucks.
