García Batters Granby for 5 Hits Sunday, July 28th, 1991 It was a hits blitz for Eduardo García at Ballpark of Granby today. The Saint-Constant Stray Cats shortstop tore into the Granby Rois for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Rois swept past the Stray Cats 10-9 to ruin García's day. "We weren't locating our pitches well," Saint-Constant manager Ross MacLennan explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Eduardo was nice but it wasn't enough." Eduardo García singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 10th. García is hitting .286 so far this season with 53 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 89 hits including 10 home runs, 34 walks and .354 OBP. |
