LM (AA) Announces Outstanding Batter Award Thursday, August 1st, 1991 Sven Kobes is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Longueuil left fielder joined that select company when the Ligue Magnifique announced the results of July's voting. Kobes totaled 44 hits, 12 walks, 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and 23 runs scored last month to put together a .400 batting average and .459 on-base percentage. So far this season Kobes is hitting .338 with 17 home runs. |
