Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Roberts Wednesday, July 17th, 1991 Stu Roberts of the Cwmbran Arthurs tagged 2 hits in today's 8-7 loss to the Neath Unicorns at Neath Grounds to run his hitting streak to 20 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 20-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Stu Roberts flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In 21 games Roberts is hitting .296 this season with 29 hits, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs, 8 walks, .349 OBP and has scored 10 runs. |
