Arthurs Win Tight Begley Division Race
Wednesday, September 18th, 1991
Danny O'Brien of the Cwmbran Arthurs said his team has proven wrong anyone who counted them out.
"We're Begley Division champs and that all that matters," the center fielder said. "Whether you win by one game, or 10 games - we're going to the playoffs on top."
The Arthurs will take their 47-30 record - and the momentum from a recent pennant clinch - into the postseason. It is the 24th Begley Division title in team history and team manager Don Linttell said the best is yet to come.
"We're going to finish this year strong, just wait and see," he said.
