Welsh Instructional League's Best Batter Announced Monday, September 8th, 1969 Pat Hollow has been in a real groove lately. The 22-year-old Barry Valesmen catcher nabbed Welsh Instructional League Player of the Week honors today after beating up on opposing pitchers all last week. Hollow's hot streak featured 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 3 home runs, 11 RBIs, 8 runs scored and a .444 average. This year Hollow is hitting .351, produced 56 RBIs and 17 home runs, scored 57 times and gotten on base at a .429 rate. |
