Merthyr Tydfil Loses Alexander Foulsham, Will Miss Season Wednesday, September 4th, 1991
The doctors have spoken and Alexander Foulsham of the Merthyr Tydfil Fellows didn't like what he heard. The 31-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Foulsham sustained his season-ending injury during the Poole Peacocks game yesterday at Field of the Fellows. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Merthyr Tydfil medical staff reported Foulsham had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6-7 months.
This year his season stats show Foulsham has no saves in 21 relief appearances with a 2-3 record and 7.68 ERA.
