Week's #1 Player: Wrexham's Patanjali Monday, September 9th, 1991 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Welsh Instructional League, but last week Massem Patanjali of the Wrexham AC reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Patanjali rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (17-for-34), no home runs and 15 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Patanjali is batting .297 with 79 hits, 2 home runs, 48 RBIs, .397 OBP and has scored 53 runs. |
