MacGibbon Pitches Wrexham to Shutout Victory Monday, September 9th, 1991 Ben MacGibbon of the Wrexham AC was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Newport Dragons, 10-0. "He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Wrexham manager Paxton Berthet said later. "When Ben does that, good things happen." The left-hander had 4 strikeouts, 3 walks and allowed 3 hits in the win. This year MacGibbon has compiled a 9-4 record with a 3.73 ERA. |
