Poole's MacMurchie Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, September 16th, 1991 So far in his young career, Andrew MacMurchie has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Welsh Instructional League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Poole Peacocks right fielder hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 13 hits in 26 at-bats, no home runs, 1 RBIs and 5 runs scored. In 1991 MacMurchie has hit at a .356 clip with 95 hits, 3 home runs, 44 RBIs and has scored 79 times. |
