Idowu Stretches Hit String to 25 Sunday, July 28th, 1991 Kitaw Idowu's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Exeter. The 22-year-old first baseman extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 25 games with a 2-for-4 performance against the Bath ABC. The Griffins took the game, 9-2. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Kitaw Idowu flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th and struck out in the 6th. This year Idowu is hitting .402 with 47 hits, 5 home runs, 29 RBIs and has scored 27 runs. |
