SABT (R) News: The Offseason Begins
Monday, September 16th, 1991
It's time to turn the page. Another exciting season of SABT (R) baseball is behind us, but there won't be time for reminiscing. Like everything else in baseball, the offseason is a time for action. Roster and financial moves, trade proposals and the upcoming winter meetings are all demanding the attention of general managers. While players head for well-deserved vacations, GMs across Southern Alliance of Baseball Teams are already hard at work determining the next steps for their team.

Black Sox Top Dragons
Saturday, September 14th, 1991
With a 22-2 win over the Saint Helier Dragons at Ballpark of Stevenage today, the Stevenage Black Sox wrapped up their 1st title in team history.

The Black Sox left little doubt who was the better team. Celebrating a banner year, "team" was the word of the day in the victorious clubhouse after the game.

"Hitting, pitching, fielding; those are all things you need to win, but most importantly you need a team, a team that works together toward the same collective goal," said Stevenage manager António Guerra. "Our players felt that way all year, and they played that way. When one guy had an off day, 24 others stepped up their game and filled the void."

A jovial mood filled the air as Stevenage celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" would be in order.

"I hope they have a big celebration," Saint Helier manager Vincent Capelli said. "They deserved to win this series and they deserve to celebrate it."
