Rookie Iraqi Academy Osod Al Rafideen's first baseman Leads African-Asian Baseball Alliance to Win in Annual All-Star Game Thursday, August 8th, 1985 Farooq bin Seif al Din cemented his status as one of the best in the game with his performance tonight. "It's an honor to even be invited to the game. To be rewarded as the MVP of the game is extra special," the African-Asian Baseball Alliance star said after his great showing. "Just playing on the same diamond as some of these guys is a pure treat." In the game itself, Farooq bin Seif al Din certainly wasn't the only great player out there, but he did enough in the African-Asian Baseball Alliance's 5-2 win over the Union Européen de Baseball les Amateurs All-Stars.
