Algerian Academy Advances to Youth Cup

It's not often a losing player is named MVP of a series, but that's the situation Jaja Zahor found himself in tonight, as the Algerian Academy Les Fennecs beat his Bahrain Academy Al Theeb Al Ahmar to advance to the Youth Cup.
Algerian Academy won the final game by a score of 13-9 at Cherries Ballpark and took the series 4-2.
Despite his strong performance, Zahor was not taking many positives away from the series.
"I'm glad I played well, sure, but what good does it do us now?"
The Algerian Academy Les Fennecs will play against the Italian Academy Azzurri in the next round. Italian Academy won their series against the Irish Academy Norn Iron 4 games to 1. The Youth Cup schedule will be announced after the Regional Finals finishes.

Elmo Briatori Will Miss 5 Months
Monday, September 16th, 1991
Italian Academy has lost reliever Elmo Briatori for at least 5 months. He was hurt in a game against the Norn Iron while throwing a pitch and sustained shoulder inflammation. His doctors said Briatori will probably be out the rest of the year.
